LIST OF JUDGES OCT 2016/17

The Yorkshire Collie Club shall make and publish a list of judges annually. The list shall consist of six parts namely Honorary, A1, A2, A3, B and C. Applications from those persons who meet the necessary criteria for each list shall be considered by the sub committee of the Yorkshire Collie Club. All applications must be with the SECRETARY BY THE 31ST October each year.
Honorary List Judges who have previously awarded CC's to Rough Collies and have retired from Judging.
Al. Judges who have previously been approved by the Kennel Club to award CC's in Rough Collies and have carried out the appointment and have the support of The Yorkshire Collie Club.
A2. For persons who fulfill all requirements for the A3 list and have been assessed in accordance with Kennel Club requirements and accepted by the Kennel Club for inclusion on an A2 list and have the support of the Yorkshire Collie Club.
A3. Judges who are recommended by the Yorkshire Collie Club as being suitable to award CC's in Rough Collies but not yet approved by The Kennel Club.
B List Judges who have been approved by The Yorkshire Collie Club to judge at shows without CC's or at Open Shows
C List Judges who have shown an interest in Rough Collies but do not have qualifications for the B list and have support of the Yorkshire Collie Club.

A List Breed Specialist.

All nominees must have -
• A minimum of seven years breeding and judging the breed and have support of the Yorkshire Collie Club.
• bred and owned 3 Rough Collies when they obtained their entry in the Kennel Club Stud Book ( save in exceptional circumstances )
(c) Judged a minimum of 80 classes of Rough Collies with adequate geographical spread.
(d) Have handled a minimum of 200 Rough Collies.
(e) Have judged two Rough Collie Breed Club Open Shows or one Breed Club and a Championship
Show without Challenge Certificates where a minimum of 25 exhibits are handled.
(F) Attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and have passed the relevant examination on Kennel Club Regulations and judging Procedures.
(g) Attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer on conformation and movement and to have attended a confirmation and movement "Hands on" Assessment conducted by a Kennel Club
Credited Trainer and passed the assessment (W E F July 2005)
(h) Attended a breed specific seminar and have been assessed by 3 Kennel Club approved assessors on a least two occasions.
The three assessments can be carried out at: -
(1) Breed Club Open Show by 2 assessors (Counts as two assessments)
( 2 ) General Open Show or a championship show with no CC allocation, by two assessors, where a minimum of 12 dogs are judged ( counts as two assessments ) between 5 and 11 dogs present this will count as only one assessment ( 3 ) Rough Collie Breed Council Assessment day ( Counts as one assessment)
(I) stewarded at twelve shows.

A List Non Specialist

All nominees must have
(a) A minimum of seven years experience in any one breed
(To include five years judging Rough Collie and have the support of The Yorkshire Collie Club).
(b) Handled a minimum of 200 Rough Collies.
(c) Judge one Rough Collie Breed Club Open Show or one Championship Show without Challenge
Certificates where a minimum of 25 exhibits were handled.
(d) Attended a breed specific seminar
(e) Awarded Challenge Certificate in one other breed. (Preferably in the Working or Pastoral Group.
(f) Stewarded for a minimum period of three years and twelve shows. . . .

B List Breed Specialist

( a ) To have 7 years experience owning and exhibiting Rough Collies and have support of the Yorkshire Collie Club
(b) To have judged 20 classes of Rough Collies at Open Shows or Championship Shows without CC's
(c) To have judge 60 Rough Collies.
(d) To have attended Rough Collie Judging / Training seminar.
(e) To have some stewarding experience.

B List Non - Specialist

(a) To have 7 years experience in any one breed in the Working or Pastoral Group and to have the support of the Yorkshire Collie Club.
(b) To have judged 20 classes of Rough Collies at Open Shows or Championship Shows without CC's
(c) To have judged 60 Rough Collies
(d) To have attended a Rough Collie Breed Specific Seminar
(e) To have some stewarding experience.

C List Breed Specialist

Applicants who have a minimum of 5 years breeding and/ or exhibiting experience in Rough Collies
